CBD Oil Waterford: Where to Buy CBD in Waterford (2026 Guide)

Last updated: September 2026.

Looking for CBD oil in Waterford? This guide covers where to buy CBD in Waterford, what to check before you buy, the current rules on CBD in Ireland, and how to choose the right product. Dr. Hemp Me is an Irish CBD company, based in Dublin since 2018, and we deliver to Waterford city and county every working day.

The short answer

• Online: order from an Irish CBD company before 2pm on a working day and it will usually arrive in Waterford the next day. Our CBD oils ship free on orders over €50.
• In person: some health food shops and pharmacies in Waterford stock CBD. Ranges are usually small, so ask to see the lab report.
• What to look for: a batch lab report, a clear CBD amount in mg, no THC, and a real Irish or EU company behind it.

Where to buy CBD oil in Waterford

Buying CBD online in Waterford

Most people in Waterford now buy CBD online, because it is easier to compare strengths, read reviews and check lab reports first. With Dr. Hemp Me, orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day by tracked courier and normally arrive the next working day, whether you are in Waterford city, Tramore, Dungarvan, Dunmore East, Lismore, Cappoquin, Portlaw or Tallow. We also deliver to nearby Carrick-on-Suir, New Ross and Youghal.

Buying CBD in Waterford shops and pharmacies

You can find CBD in some Waterford health food shops, pharmacies and vape shops. The advantage is that you can ask questions face to face; the downside is a small range and quality that can be hard to judge. Before you buy CBD in any shop, ask:

• Can I see the lab report for this batch? It should show the CBD amount and confirm no THC.
• How many mg of CBD are in the bottle, and how much is in each drop?
• Who makes it, and is there an Irish or EU contact address on the label?

If a shop can’t answer these, buy somewhere that can.

Is CBD legal in Waterford?

The rules in Waterford are the same as the rest of Ireland. CBD itself is not a controlled drug, but THC (the compound in cannabis that causes a high) is controlled at any level, so a CBD product should contain no THC. The often-quoted “0.2% THC is legal” is a myth: that figure relates to which hemp varieties farmers can grow, not the THC allowed in a finished product. CBD foods and supplements also come under EU novel food rules, overseen by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI), and cannot be sold with health claims. Which CBD products should I choose?

• CBD Oil 10% (1000mg): 5mg per drop. The best place to start; most people take 5 drops a day.
• CBD Oil 20% (2000mg): 10mg per drop, for people who already use CBD.
• CBD Oil 30% (3000mg): 15mg per drop, one of the highest-strength CBD oils sold in Ireland.
• CBD Gummies: 15mg per gummy, fruit flavoured and THC-free.
• CBD Capsules: 25mg per capsule, with no taste at all.
• CBD for pets: oils made for dogs and cats, dosed by your pet’s weight.

Not sure how much to take? Our CBD dosing guide walks you through it. Place the drops under your tongue, hold for 60 to 90 seconds, then swallow. Start low, and speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take regular medication.

How to read a CBD lab report

Every good CBD product should come with a lab report, sometimes called a certificate of analysis or CoA. It can look technical, but you only need to check a few things:

• The batch number on the report should match the batch number on your bottle or tub.
• The CBD result should be close to what the label says. A 10% oil should show roughly 1000mg in a 10ml bottle.
• THC should be shown as not detected, or below the limit the lab can measure.
• The lab name should be an independent laboratory, not the seller itself.
• Contaminant tests for heavy metals and pesticides are a sign of a careful supplier.

You will find the lab report for every one of our products on its product page, so you can check it before you order.

Which format suits your day?

Product	Starts working	Lasts about	Good for
CBD oil	15 to 45 minutes	4 to 6 hours	Fine-tuning your amount
CBD gummies	30 to 90 minutes	6 to 8 hours	A set amount on the go
CBD capsules	45 to 90 minutes	6 to 8 hours	No taste at all
CBD cream	15 to 30 minutes	2 to 4 hours	One specific area

Plenty of our Waterford customers lead active lives, whether that is cycling the Greenway, sea swimming at Tramore or playing GAA. Many keep a CBD muscle and joint cream in the kit bag as part of their routine after exercise, alongside oil or gummies at home.

Starting CBD for the first time

Start low and keep it steady. Five drops of the 10% oil once a day is where most people begin. Stay at that amount for a week before deciding whether to add a drop or two. If you take any medication, check with your GP or pharmacist first. Our dosing guide has the full detail.

CBD for dogs and cats in Waterford

A lot of our Waterford orders include something for the family pet. Never give a pet a CBD product made for people, as human products can contain flavourings such as xylitol that are toxic to dogs. Our CBD oils for pets are made for dogs and cats and come in three strengths, chosen by your pet’s weight: 5% for pets up to 35kg, 10% for big dogs of 35 to 55kg, and 20% for dogs over 55kg. Speak to your vet first, especially if your pet takes any medication.
