The short answer
You can buy CBD oil in Ireland online from Irish CBD companies, and in some pharmacies and health food shops. Online usually gives you the widest choice, the best prices and easy access to lab reports. Wherever you buy, check for three things: a batch lab report, a clear amount of CBD in mg, and no THC. Dr. Hemp Me is an Irish CBD company, based in Dublin since 2018, and orders placed before 2pm are delivered the next working day anywhere in Ireland.
Where can I buy CBD oil in Ireland?
Online from an Irish CBD company
This is how most people in Ireland buy CBD today. You can compare strengths and prices, read independent reviews, and check each product’s lab report before you buy. Buying from an Irish company also means Irish customer service, fast delivery and a business that operates under Irish and EU food rules. Our CBD oil range ships next day across Ireland, with free delivery on orders over €50.
Pharmacies
Some Irish pharmacies stock CBD oils, usually a small range from one or two brands. The benefit is that you can ask the pharmacist about your medication. Ranges tend to be limited and prices higher per mg.
Health food shops
Many health food shops sell CBD, and staff can often explain the basics. Quality varies from brand to brand, so ask to see the lab report.
Vape shops and market stalls
Be careful here. Products sold in some vape shops, at markets or through social media have been found to contain THC or much less CBD than the label says. THC is controlled in Ireland at any level. If a seller can’t show a lab report for the batch, don’t buy it.
What to check before you buy CBD oil
- A batch lab report from an independent lab, showing the CBD amount and confirming no THC. Ours are on every product page.
- The CBD amount in mg, both per bottle and per drop, so you know exactly how much you are taking.
- A real company with an Irish or EU address and contact details.
- Honest labelling. CBD is sold as a food supplement. Be wary of any product that claims to treat or cure illness.
- Reviews from real customers on an independent site such as Trustpilot. We have over 900.
How much does CBD oil cost in Ireland?
Prices vary a lot between brands, so the fairest way to compare is the cost per mg of CBD rather than the bottle price. Stronger oils usually work out cheaper per mg. Here is how our oils compare:
| Oil | CBD per drop | Price | Cost per 100mg CBD |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBD Oil 10% (1000mg) | 5mg | €59.95 | about €6.00 |
| CBD Oil 20% (2000mg) | 10mg | €100.00 | about €5.00 |
| CBD Oil 30% (3000mg) | 15mg | €139.95 | about €4.67 |
Watch out for very cheap oils that don’t state the CBD content in mg, or list “hemp oil” or “hemp seed oil” instead. Hemp seed oil is a healthy food oil, but it contains little or no CBD.
What is the strongest CBD oil for sale in Ireland?
Our CBD Oil 30% (3000mg) gives 15mg of CBD per drop and is one of the highest-strength CBD oils sold in Ireland. Stronger isn’t automatically better: most people start with a 10% oil and move up only if they want more CBD in fewer drops. Our dosing guide explains how to choose.
Is CBD oil legal to buy in Ireland?
CBD itself is not a controlled drug in Ireland, but THC is controlled at any level, so a CBD product should contain no THC. The “0.2% THC is legal” claim you may see online is a myth. CBD foods and supplements also come under EU novel food rules, overseen by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, and cannot be sold with health claims. Read our full guide: Is CBD oil legal in Ireland? The 2026 rules explained.
Can you buy THC oil in Ireland?
No. THC oil and other cannabis products containing THC are illegal to sell or possess in Ireland outside a small number of prescribed medical cannabis products. Dr. Hemp Me does not sell THC products.
How to compare CBD oil prices: cost per mg
The price on the box can be misleading. A cheap bottle with little CBD in it is not good value. The fairest way to compare is the cost per milligram (mg) of CBD: divide the price by the total mg of CBD in the product.
| Product | Total CBD | Price* | Cost per mg |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBD Oil 10% | 1000mg | €59.95 | about 6c |
| CBD Oil 20% | 2000mg | €100 | about 5c |
| CBD Oil 30% | 3000mg | €139.95 | about 4.7c |
| CBD Gummies | 900mg (60 x 15mg) | €59.95 | about 6.7c |
| CBD Capsules | 750mg (30 x 25mg) | €59.95 | about 8c |
*Prices at the time of writing. Stronger oils cost more per bottle but less per mg. Gummies and capsules cost a little more per mg because you are paying for the convenience and the set amount in each piece.
Red flags: where not to buy CBD
Most problems with CBD in Ireland come from a handful of sources. Be wary of:
- Marketplace listings for “hemp oil” with huge mg numbers and low prices. Many are hemp seed oil, which contains little or no CBD.
- Social media sellers with no company name, no address and no lab reports.
- Market stalls and pop-up shops selling “cannabis” edibles, vapes or flower. These are often illegal and untested.
- Websites outside the EU. Products made for other markets may not meet EU rules, and parcels can be held by customs.
- Anyone making medical claims. CBD is a food supplement. Promises to cure or treat illness are a sign the seller is not following the rules.
What a good Irish CBD website shows you
Before you order online, check that the website gives you all of this without you having to ask:
- a lab report for each product, ideally matched to the batch you will receive
- the CBD content in mg for the bottle and per drop, gummy or capsule
- a real company name and address in Ireland or the EU
- clear delivery times and costs
- a way to contact a real person with questions
- genuine independent reviews, such as Trustpilot
We are a Dublin-based company, selling CBD since 2018 to more than 15,000 customers, with 900+ reviews on Trustpilot. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, and delivery is free on orders over €50.

- New to CBD: CBD Oil 10%. Easy to adjust drop by drop; most people start with 5 drops a day.
- Do not like the taste of oil: CBD Gummies or CBD Capsules.
- Already use CBD: CBD Oil 20% or 30%, for more CBD in fewer drops.
- For the evening routine: CBN Snooze oil.
- For your dog or cat: our CBD oil for pets, dosed by weight.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. CBD oil is sold over the counter in some pharmacies and health food shops, and you don’t need a prescription. It is sold as a food supplement, not a medicine.
Is CBD oil sold in Irish pharmacies?
Some pharmacies stock it, but ranges are usually small. Most people in Ireland now buy CBD online, where there is more choice and lab reports are easy to check.
Where can I buy CBD in Dublin, Cork or Galway?
We deliver next day to Dublin, Cork, Galway and everywhere else in Ireland when you order before 2pm on a working day. See our local guides for Galway, Limerick and Waterford.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
Yes. We deliver to Northern Ireland, usually within 1 to 2 working days.
Which CBD oil should I buy first?
If you are new to CBD, start with a 10% oil (5mg per drop), take around 5 drops a day, and adjust slowly. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take regular medication.
Can I buy CBD oil on Amazon or eBay in Ireland?
Some CBD is sold on marketplaces, but many listings are hemp seed oil with little or no CBD, despite large numbers on the label. If you buy there, check for a lab report showing the CBD content and confirming the THC content.
Is it cheaper to buy CBD oil in bulk?
Usually, yes. Larger bottles and stronger oils cost less per mg of CBD, and many companies, including us, offer bundle discounts. Just make sure you will use it before the best-before date.
Can I buy CBD oil without a prescription?
Yes. CBD food supplements are sold over the counter in Ireland. Prescription cannabis medicines are a separate category, available only through a doctor.
Is CBD oil from a pharmacy better?
Not necessarily. Pharmacies follow the same rules as other sellers for CBD supplements. Judge any product on its lab report, CBD content and the company behind it, wherever you buy it.
